Kennedy Evers
Kennedy Evers is a second year Political Science major at Howard University. Interested in legal advocacy, Kennedy follows a Pre-Law curriculum and is in the process of declaring a Legal Communications minor. An impassioned advocate for civil rights and environmental issues, Kennedy explains, “I have always spoken up for myself, and knowledge of the law provides the microphone to speak up for others. My undergraduate education will prepare me for law school and inspire advocacy in disenfranchised communities.”
For Kennedy, Howard provides challenging academics in the perfect social environment of like-minded scholars. Kennedy draws inspiration from alumni who have established careers in the nation’s capital, and she plans to stay in DC for law school.
To enhance her studies, Kennedy is a member of the Howard External Affairs Committee and is completing a National HBCU Internship with the Campus Vote Project. She was recently accepted to The Lex Fellowship and looks forward to traveling to Madrid, Spain, for an immersive, pre-law study-abroad program.
Kennedy acknowledges how grateful she is for No Greater Sacrifice, as they have not only provided her with the opportunity to further her education, but also a safe space to dream big.
I am truly appreciative of being able to study here. I have blossomed into the person I am supposed to be.
I am not sure what I would do without NGS.” Kennedy claims, “They have truly blessed me.
