Keyghan Burns
In honor of Keyghan's father, SSG Michael Burns, U.S. Army
Keyghan Burns is a freshman at Austin Community College. With interests in real estate and energy commerce, Keyghan majors in Business Administration. He intends to earn an associate’s degree then transfer to either Texas Tech or the University of Texas to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Keyghan's father, Army Staff Sergeant Michael Burns (Ret.), was injured in Iraq when an enemy rocket explosion sent shrapnel into his body, ultimately resulting in an above-the-knee left leg amputation. He is on the Board of Directors for Operation Pay It Forward, whose mission is to recreate camaraderie for veterans and their families through outdoor activities such as fishing trips, hiking, and hunting.
