NGS Scholar
Carson Orr
Carson Orr is a junior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona. He is studying Aeronautics with minors in Aviation Business, Defense Studies, Aeronautical Studies, and Meteorology. Carson is also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and Air Force ROTC. Most recently Carson attended Air Force Field Training in hopes to become a pilot in the United States Air Force after graduation. Overall, he wants to serve his country defending the freedoms that so many fought to protect.
Carson calls a small town in Northwest Ohio home. He went to Anthony Wayne High School where he was a member of National Honor Society, served as a varsity lacrosse captain, and led the ski club as the president. It is here where his love for aviation began. At the age of seventeen, Carson started flying at Bowling Green State University where he was the first high-school student ever to take flight courses. He holds his private pilot’s license, instrument rating, and will complete his commercial license this upcoming school year.
NGS would also like to thank the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund in helping Carson to reach his dreams.
