Tristan Turner is a senior at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is majoring in biomedical sciences and plans to minor in psychology. Tristan was elected Vice President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at RIT, and he was given the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for an Organic Chemistry class. He hosted workshops and helped students as they completed the course.
Tristan is an Eagle Scout, 2018 Empire State Champion with Schuylerville’s Envirothon Team, and taught a STEAM program. He was also selected into the Hudson Valley Community College’s National Honor Society and continues to support veterans by participating in the National Laying of the Wreaths at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
He says, "Thank you for the honor of selection as a No Greater Sacrifice Scholarship recipient, I will continue to honor your commitment to my education by doing my very best at RIT."
Tristan’s father, Scott suffers multiple injuries, including PTSD and migraines, from frequent mortar and rocket attacks during his time in Iraq.
NGS would also like to thank our amazing partner, the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, for their support in making Tristan’s dreams come true.
