Studying Elementary Education

Bob Jones Bruins

Our very first scholarship recipient, Diana Wagoner, was only three years old when she was awarded a future-use scholarship in 2008. Diana’s father, Army Staff Sergeant Terry Daniel Wagoner "Sparky", was on his second deployment to Iraq when he was killed in action by an improvised explosive device on September 14, 2007. She was entrusted in the care of her grandparents after her father paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Diana is a senior at Orangeburg Christian Academy in South Carolina. She also has been admitted to her first choice and dream college - Bob Jones University.  Diana is majoring in Elementary Education and has already begun taking college classes at Orangeburg-Calhoun Tech College and Bob Jones University during her high school senior year. She enjoys cheerleading and staying busy with church activities. Diana dreams of graduating from Bob Jones University and becoming a teacher.

Diana's father's sacrifice will not be forgotten and his legacy will always be remembered.
