Megan Tanner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Bachelor of Arts in French from Georgia Southern University in 2021. While in college Megan was able to complete a study abroad immersion program in Lyon, France, and is now able to speak, read, and write the language. She also participated in many extracurricular activities, including being a Resident Advisor and Peer Leader at Georgia Southern University and President of the University’s French Club. She also participated in the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Pi Delta Phi National French Honors Society, and Model Arab League.
Her volunteer experience includes a beach clean-up and volunteering at a local elementary school. While at Georgia Southern University she received multiple scholarships and was a part of the Georgia Southern University Honors College, and on the President’s List. After college she plans to obtain a master’s degree.
Megan's father, a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran, was wounded in Afghanistan resulting in many injuries, including a leg amputation and severe brain and facial injuries.
