Special Announcement: Freedom’s Future Impact and Donor Report and Freedom’s Future Campaign
No Greater Sacrifice (NGS) is proud to release the Freedom’s Future Impact and Donor Report, a first-of-its-kind effort in the veteran-support community to quantify the long-term educational needs of the children of America’s fallen and severely wounded Service members since 9/11.
Why NGS Exists
The legacy of post-9/11 military service has left more than 130,000 children affected by combat fatalities, training accidents, and service-related injuries. Of those, 35,000 are expected to pursue higher education in the next 20 years. NGS was founded to meet this pressing need—reducing the financial burden of higher education and walking alongside these families through scholarships, mentorship, and coaching.
Scholar Spotlight: Kristian Engeldrum
This month, we highlight Kristian Engeldrum, an NGS Scholar studying Applied Psychology at New York University. The daughter of Army SSG Christian P. Engeldrum, a New York firefighter who responded on 9/11 and was later killed in Iraq, Kristian has transformed her loss into purpose. Supported by NGS and inspired by her experience at NGS BootCamp, Kristian is pursuing academics, neuroscience, and the arts. We are grateful to UBS for hosting Kristian at the UBS Manhattan Market Campaign Kickoff and for raising more than $2.58 million in support of NGS Scholars since 2010.
Supporting Scholars Through Golf
On October 27th, NGS will host the 2025 No Greater Sacrifice Invitational at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. This event honors the legacy of our fallen and severely wounded Service members while raising funds that directly support their children’s educational journeys. We extend our thanks to our Event Chairs, sponsors, volunteers, and participants for their commitment to the mission.
Freedom’s Future Campaign
As part of our year-round fundraising efforts, NGS is launching the Freedom’s Future Campaign as our dedicated year-end initiative. Monthly giving—at any level—directly fuels scholarships, mentorship, and long-term support for NGS Scholars.
